Charging of the electric car

Please note that electric cars can be found in Lithuania and Estonia.

Lithuania:

Make sure the car is unlocked.
Open Charger socket cover on the car which is next to the driver’s door (in the case of the VW e-Crafter electric van) or behind the rear door (in the case of light electric vehicles). If the cover does not open, click “Unlock” on the car key.
In case of charging the vehicle at the “IgnitisON” or “ElintaCharge” fast charging station:
1. Use the right-most charging wire (“Type 2”) that is already connected to the charging station.
  
  Attention: Wire configurations may vary in some charging stations, so you can only find a Type 2 or “CCS” type wire.
2. Take the car keys and find the charging token attached (there are two tokens: one for “IgnitisON” and one for “ElintaCharge”).
3. Approach the charging station and scan the charging token.
4. Choose the charging slot (“Pasirinkite jungtį”) by pressing a button next to the shown option.
5. Press the button “Pradėti” to start charging.
In case of charging the vehicle at a 2-slot “ElintaCharge” station:
1. Take the charging wire from under the middle seat of a CityBee car:
  
  • In the case of the VW e-Crafter electric van – under the front center seat.
  
  • In the case of a passenger car – to the spare wheel space in the trunk.
  
  2. Put one side of the charger wire in the car electric socket and another side into the charging station.
  
  3. Scan the RFID token with “ElintaCharge” written on it.
  
  4. The word “Charging” should start lightning, which means the vehicle is being charged.
Check the car’s charging socket (the green light should be lightning; if there is an orange light or no light at all, it means that the car is not being charged) and the information screen behind the steering wheel (it should indicate that the car is being charged with an indicated time left until fully charged).

Estonia:

Make sure the car is unlocked
Open the charger socket cover, which is located behind the rear door. If the cover does not open, click “Unlock” on the car key.
Charging the vehicle in ‘Eleport’ charging station:

Take the ‘Eleport’ charging card from the sun visor and tap it on the screen
Select either ‘CCS’ or ‘Type 2’ charging option and connect it to the car
Press ”start charging” to start the charging process

To make sure the car is charging, check the charging port to see, if there is a green light.

Prepaid packages

We offer prepaid trip packages that include fixed time with fixed kilometers.

By choosing prepaid packages, you will pay less than the usual fare with the same distance and time in the “pay as you go” option.

If you happen to exceed the kilometers and /or time included in the price of the package, you will be able to continue the journey safely.

After the prepaid package ends (mileage and time included are finished), you will be paying for additional minutes and/or kilometers as specified in the chosen package deal.

You can also continue your trip by purchasing one more additional prepaid package without completing the active reservation.

If you decide to end the trip before using the time and /or kilometers indicated on the prepaid package, this balance will not be refunded.

The price of the fixed prepaid package will be charged at the beginning of the trip and the price for the extra kilometers and/or time will be charged during or at the end of the journey, depending on the length of your trip.

A day mentioned in the trip packages is 24 hours.

Now you are able to customize the pre-paid packages yourself by selecting time and kilometers in the app. Choose the preferred duration of the package, then, select the number of kilometers you anticipate driving during that time. This way, you can tailor the pre-paid package to fit your specific needs and budget. Enjoy the flexibility and convenience of customizing your own package!

What is my financial liability in the event of a car accident?

We’ve got you covered in the event of a car accident, as long as you inform us immediately about it and follow the Terms of Service, the BeeChill fee will take care of the damage.

However, there are exceptions where you will be financially liable, such as:

Failing to report the accident,

Intentional or reckless actions (e.g., driving under the influence or violating traffic laws),

Other exceptions mentioned in our Terms of Service (section 7.17).

In these cases, you will be responsible for the damage, and you will have to cover all costs. For full details, refer to our Terms of Service.

What happens if I exceed the duration or distance allocated for a single trip in my CityBee subscription plan?

If you exceed the maximum allotted time or distance during a trip, standard CityBee per-minute and per-kilometer rates will apply according to the pay-as-you-go pricing for the selected car model. Immediately after your trip, you will receive an invoice via email detailing the additional charges for extra kilometers and/or minutes. This amount will be charged to the payment card linked to your CityBee account.

If, for any reason, the additional charges cannot be deducted from your payment card and a debt is incurred, you will not be able to start a new trip until the outstanding balance is settled.

Insurance of CityBee cars

All CityBee cars are covered by compulsory Civil Liability Insurance, so you do not need to worry about the insurance. The car is equipped with an insurer-compliant, satellite-linked security system that will protect CityBee from possible theft.

Vans and zones thereof

Vans have their own parking zones, which are different from the ones for cars. Just tap the van icon in the app to see where you can go. The color-coding works the same way you’re used to:

– Clear zones – Park or end your trip here anytime, as long as you follow regular parking rules
– Yellow zones – These might add a small fee or give you a discount when you start or finish a trip. Tap the € symbol to check the exact amount for that zone
– Grey zones – No ending trips here, sorry!

The good news? You don’t have to bring the van back to where you picked it up. Any allowed van zone works.

One thing to keep in mind: Electric vans have their own special zones. If you plan to drive an electric van, make sure to select it in the app, that way you’ll only see their specific zones.
