Reserving and unlocking the vehicle

When reserving a car, you have two options:

· Choose a car, click on “Reserve,” and you will get a free 15-minute reservation, giving you access to the car for unlocking

· If you do not unlock the car within this 15-minute window, your reservation will automatically end unless you choose to pay for an extension.

If 15 minutes isn’t enough, you can extend your reservation for longer periods, but keep in mind:

· You can easily extend your reservation through the app after you’ve booked the car. Just click on Reservation and then select Extend.

· After the 15 minutes expire, the paid reservation time will begin. The cost per reserved minute is the same as the cost per minute when driving the car;

· You can extend the reservation for up to 24 hours;

· If you do not unlock the car by selecting “Unlock” in the app, the reservation will automatically end, and you will be charged for the time the reservation was active.
You can cancel a paid reservation at any time, and you will only be charged for the time used.

Once you’ve reached the car, click “Unlock” in the app. The car will unlock, and the keys will be inside the vehicle.

I found the car damaged/dirty

From now on, before starting the trip, we will ask you to check the car and inform us only if there are any obvious defects that make the car unsuitable for its intended purpose (5.3.19, 5.15).

1. Make a short inspection of the car;

2. Check whether there is any damage that could make the car unsafe or unsuitable for driving (for example flat tires, moderate or severe body damage, etc.) if there is any – please report it using the CityBee app;

3. If the damage is minor (e.g. small scratches or dents) – You do not have to report it and you can safely start the trip!

If the damage impacts your ability to drive safely or you’re uncertain, please reach out to us via email, in-app chat, or phone. Please include a photo to help us assess the situation more accurately.

If the car is dirty – you can select the “report” function in the reservation and the technical team will clean the car at the first opportunity.

Driver's license registry

If you’d like to use the car-sharing service, you’ll need to confirm the validity of your driver’s license.

You can do this in just a few minutes by following the steps in the ‘CityBee’ app. Open the app, choose Add driver’s license and enter your driver license number.

We now offer several ways to confirm your license:

Smart-ID or Mobile-ID

Available for users whose driver’s license can be verified through these electronic identification methods.

Uploading photos

If you prefer pictures, you can complete the process by taking a few photos directly in the app. You’ll be asked to:

1) Take a selfie;

2) Take a selfie while holding your driver’s license;

3) Take a photo of the front side of the document.

Whichever method you choose, please make sure your document is valid and undamaged. When taking photos ensure good lighting and that document is removed from any cover or case so your document number, personal identification number, and personal photo can be clearly seen.

Note: We accept only photocard driver’s licenses.

How to get started with CityBee?

To sign up, you need to download the CityBee app to your smart iOS or Android phone.

To register, enter the requested personal data and a valid telephone number to verify signing up.

The final step is to link a payment card to your CityBee account.

If you want to use a car-sharing service, you must confirm your driving license’s validity. You can do it just in a few minutes by following the instructions in the app!

Extended reservation

Once you reserve a car, you are able to keep it reserved for you 15 minutes for free. However, if you weren’t able to reach the car within 15 minutes and need additional time – you can easily extend your reservation through the app. Just click on Reservation and then select Extend.

The price for extended reservation costs as much as the time price for that specific car displayed in the price list.

The maximum duration of the extended reservation is 24 hours. If you do not unlock a car by selecting Unlock in the app within that period, the reservation will discontinue and you will be charged for the time used. You can cancel the extended reservation anytime. In this case, you will pay only for the used paid reservation time.

The gas tank is opened by lifting a switch to the left of the driver’s seat, then the tank cap is screwed off.
The gas tank is on the left side. The fuel type is indicated on the sticker that is on the cover for the gas tank, the sun visor, and in the vehicle registration certificate, found in the car’s glovebox. You can fill up at any Circle K station. You will find the fuel card in the visor and the PIN code is on the card. Pay with that card and keep driving 🙂
