What happens if I exceed the duration or distance allocated for a single trip in my CityBee subscription plan?

If you exceed the maximum allotted time or distance during a trip, standard CityBee per-minute and per-kilometer rates will apply according to the pay-as-you-go pricing for the selected car model. Immediately after your trip, you will receive an invoice via email detailing the additional charges for extra kilometers and/or minutes. This amount will be charged to the payment card linked to your CityBee account.

If, for any reason, the additional charges cannot be deducted from your payment card and a debt is incurred, you will not be able to start a new trip until the outstanding balance is settled.

Can I purchase additional long-distance trip packages if I have an active CityBee subscription plan but haven’t used all my trips?

We process your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (BDAR) and other legal requirements.

In order to provide you with services and administer them, we process your name, contact details, other data required for the use and provision of the services. The CityBee Privacy Policy provides detailed information on the purpose of processing your personal data and the duration of storage thereof.

When and how was I introduced to the procedures and rules?

Driver's license registry

If you’d like to use the car-sharing service, you’ll need to confirm the validity of your driver’s license.

You can do this in just a few minutes by following the steps in the ‘CityBee’ app. Open the app, choose Add driver’s license and enter your driver license number.

We now offer several ways to confirm your license:

Smart-ID or Mobile-ID

Available for users whose driver’s license can be verified through these electronic identification methods.

Uploading photos

If you prefer pictures, you can complete the process by taking a few photos directly in the app. You’ll be asked to:

1) Take a selfie;

2) Take a selfie while holding your driver’s license;

3) Take a photo of the front side of the document.

Whichever method you choose, please make sure your document is valid and undamaged. When taking photos ensure good lighting and that document is removed from any cover or case so your document number, personal identification number, and personal photo can be clearly seen.

Note: We accept only photocard driver’s licenses.

Night reservation

The Night Reservation package lets you reserve a car in the evening, and it will be waiting for you until the morning – perfect if you need a car early the next day or just want peace of mind.

The package is available from Sunday to Thursday, and can only be purchased between 9:00 PM and 11:00 PM. You’ll still see the package in the app during the day, but it will not be available for purchase outside of these hours.

❗If you already have an active reservation, you will still be able to purchase this package.

You can purchase only one Night Reservation package at a time.

To make sure you don’t miss it, you can set a reminder in the app – you’ll receive a push notification as soon as the Night package becomes available.

Here’s how it works:

Choose any car between 9 PM and 11 PM and select the Night Reservation package for just €4.99.
The car will be reserved for you overnight.
If you’re not planning to drive right away, you can come to the car when it suits you. Reservation will extend automatically.
During the 9-hour night reservation, you only pay for the kilometers driven – no minute charges apply.
After the 9 hours, regular minute and kilometer rates will apply

Radar function

The radar function in the CityBee app helps the user to be the first to know if any of the CityBee cars are nearby his location at a specific time chosen by the user.

The radar function icon can be found in the “Search” section of the app, to the left of the “Filter” icon. When you click on the icon and activate the radar, it will turn blue.

The minimum radar distance is 150 meters, the maximum – 1250 meters.

When activating the radar, you can choose between two options:

Notification without automatic reservation – when a CityBee car appears at the specified time and distance, the app will send a message to the user to inform them about it.

Automatic reservation – when a CityBee car appears at the specified time and distance, an automatic car reservation will be made by choosing the “Pay as you go” tariff. The tariff can be changed after car reservation. Car reservation remains free until the end of the free reservation period (15 min).

Additional information:

The radar function will be activated at the specified time and will remain active until you reserve your car. If the car is not available within 2 hours, the radar will switch off. The radar function detects only cars that are incoming in the current location of the user and chosen distance when the radar function is activated.

Mileage of a fully charged electric car

Please note that this service is provided in Lithuania and Estonia.

Every single CityBee electric vehicle has a different mileage which also heavily depends on the current season (i.e. the mileage is increased when the temperature is +15°C rather than when it’s -10°C):

Volkswagen e-Crafter: warm Summer – 130 km, cold winter – <85 km;

Peugeot e-2008: warm summer in the city ~300 km, out of the city ~220 km; cold winter in the city ~200 km, out of the city ~160 km.
Fiat 500e: warm summer in the city – 240km, out of the city – 180km, cold winter in the city – 190km, out of the city – 140km

For exact mileage, please take a look at the vehicle’s computer screen after having driven it for at least 5 km.
