Payment during a long-term reservation

During long-term reservation (trip package), the sum is charged before the start of the trip and if additional time and/or km is required after the prepayment package ends, the sum for the actual accumulated amount will be deducted during or at the end of the trip.

The money will be deducted from your selected card. If you have money in your CityBee wallet or have accumulated credit, for example for refueling, the funds will be deducted from this amount first. If the amount cannot be deducted, we will ask you to pay it or leave the car.

Vans and zones thereof

Vans have their own parking zones, which are different from the ones for cars. Just tap the van icon in the app to see where you can go. The color-coding works the same way you’re used to:

– Clear zones – Park or end your trip here anytime, as long as you follow regular parking rules
– Yellow zones – These might add a small fee or give you a discount when you start or finish a trip. Tap the € symbol to check the exact amount for that zone
– Grey zones – No ending trips here, sorry!

The good news? You don’t have to bring the van back to where you picked it up. Any allowed van zone works.

One thing to keep in mind: Electric vans have their own special zones. If you plan to drive an electric van, make sure to select it in the app, that way you’ll only see their specific zones.

Why is the service labeled as BETA?

The CityBee subscription is a test service. We are constantly looking for new ways to help our customers travel more affordably and conveniently. In planning the CityBee subscription, we considered the needs of our most active customers and decided to offer plans for the most common types of city trips, allowing customers to enjoy cost-effective travel without worrying about time. We will periodically evaluate the service’s activity and improve it as needed. All customer feedback and expectations are highly appreciated. CityBee reserves the right to change the terms of the CityBee subscription at any time.

Reserving and unlocking the vehicle

When reserving a car, you have two options:

· Choose a car, click on “Reserve,” and you will get a free 15-minute reservation, giving you access to the car for unlocking

· If you do not unlock the car within this 15-minute window, your reservation will automatically end unless you choose to pay for an extension.

If 15 minutes isn’t enough, you can extend your reservation for longer periods, but keep in mind:

· You can easily extend your reservation through the app after you’ve booked the car. Just click on Reservation and then select Extend.

· After the 15 minutes expire, the paid reservation time will begin. The cost per reserved minute is the same as the cost per minute when driving the car;

· You can extend the reservation for up to 24 hours;

· If you do not unlock the car by selecting “Unlock” in the app, the reservation will automatically end, and you will be charged for the time the reservation was active.
You can cancel a paid reservation at any time, and you will only be charged for the time used.

Once you’ve reached the car, click “Unlock” in the app. The car will unlock, and the keys will be inside the vehicle.

How does a long-term car reservation for legal entities work?

CityBee currently offers long-term car rentals.

It can be any car from the CityBee fleet. Use is no different from a short-term CityBee rental, and all the benefits offered (insurance, fuel, washing) remain as well. When renting a car (s) for a longer period, we can offer having a private fleet (or car) that operates in the exact same manner as a regular CityBee service. Employees who have access to CityBee on behalf of the company would be able to reserve, unlock, and use cars the usual way. In such a case, the said cars would not be visible to our other users but the employees could easily share them. The rental of the car (s) would be invoiced in the same manner as in the second case.

Can I switch to pay-as-you-go pricing if I have a CityBee subscription plan?

During your CityBee subscription period, you can choose between using a subscription plan trip or purchasing a pre-paid trip package for a longer route at the start of each trip. The pay-as-you-go pricing will automatically apply only if you exceed the allocated kilometers and/or minutes for the subscription plan or the additionally purchased package.
