Why is the service labeled as BETA?

The CityBee subscription is a test service. We are constantly looking for new ways to help our customers travel more affordably and conveniently. In planning the CityBee subscription, we considered the needs of our most active customers and decided to offer plans for the most common types of city trips, allowing customers to enjoy cost-effective travel without worrying about time. We will periodically evaluate the service’s activity and improve it as needed. All customer feedback and expectations are highly appreciated. CityBee reserves the right to change the terms of the CityBee subscription at any time.

Traveling abroad with CityBee

CityBee cars can be used to travel within the European Union (or where CityBee car insurance is valid). However, you need to get our prior permission first.

The permission request must be sent to the general email addresses:

Before deciding whether to allow to transport CityBee car outside of LT, LV or EE, we will assess our technical and organisational capabilities and your history of using CityBee services.

Please note that you can drive to Latvia and Estonia without the permission, but if you leave the car in one of these countries (in a zone marked in the CityBee app), there is an additional charge of 39EUR. The charge is applicable regardless of the registration number of the car.

What is my financial liability in the event of a car accident?

We’ve got you covered in the event of a car accident, as long as you inform us immediately about it and follow the Terms of Service, the BeeChill fee will take care of the damage.

However, there are exceptions where you will be financially liable, such as:

Failing to report the accident,

Intentional or reckless actions (e.g., driving under the influence or violating traffic laws),

Other exceptions mentioned in our Terms of Service (section 7.17).

In these cases, you will be responsible for the damage, and you will have to cover all costs. For full details, refer to our Terms of Service.

Payment for fuel

When using CityBee, you do not need to pay for the fuel – you will pay only for the time used and for kilometers driven.

When the fuel drops to 1/4 volume of the tank capacity, go to any Circle-K gas station in Lithuania and fuel the bee. Fill a full fuel tank and pay with the gas stations’ card which you will find in the CityBee car at the sun visor on the top of the driver’s side.

You will find the payment card PIN code and fuel type in the CityBee app after opening your active reservation.

Pet carriage

Does the fee cover tow truck costs?

BeeChill fee covers towing costs if the vehicle needs to be towed due to an accident—just make sure to inform us right away, and we’ll handle the rest.

However, the BeeChill fee does not cover towing costs in the following situations:

Running out of charge: If you discharge the EV battery, towing costs won’t be covered, as it’s your responsibility to ensure the vehicle has enough charge, just like with fuel in traditional cars.

Parking violations: If the vehicle is towed because of a traffic violation, such as parking in a restricted area, the fee will not cover the costs and you’ll be responsible for the towing charges.

In these cases, it’s important to follow traffic rules and keep an eye on the vehicle’s battery or fuel level to avoid extra costs. For more details, please refer to our Terms of Service or Pricelist.

What data about me do you collect and for what purposes?

We process your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (BDAR) and other legal requirements.

In order to provide you with services and administer them, we process your name, contact details, other data required for the use and provision of the services. The CityBee Privacy Policy provides detailed information on the purpose of processing your personal data and the duration of storage thereof.
